Es sind diese Kapseln, in denen sich die Samen befinden.
Wie sehen Orchideensamen aus?
Sie sind sehr charakteristisch. Sie unterscheiden sich von den Sporen der meisten beliebten Blumen wie Tulpen, Rosen oder Narzissen. Sie haben eine mikroskopische Größe und fehlen an Reservestoffen. Daher benötigen sie zur Entwicklung ein spezielles Substrat und eine Mykorrhiza-Inokulation, die ihnen das Keimen ermöglicht. In einer Kapsel können von ein paar Samen bis hin zu einer Million sein.
Orchideensamen: Sorten
Es gibt viele Orchideensorten. Jede von ihnen ist durch die spezifische Farbe der Blumen oder den charakteristischen Geruch der Pflanze gekennzeichnet. Bei der Auswahl von Samen einer bestimmten Art solltest du jedoch beachten, dass du möglicherweise keine Pflanze mit identischen Merkmalen erhältst.
Zu den am häufigsten ausgewählten Arten zum Anbau gehören:
- Affen-Orchidee, auch bekannt als Dracula simia, ist eine immergrüne Pflanze, die das ganze Jahr über blüht. Die Orchidee kann deine Augen mit ihren Blüten über mehrere Monate erfreuen, da nicht alle gleichzeitig blühen.
Neben diesen Sorten gibt es weitere Arten, auf die viele Züchter zurückgreifen. Es hängt alles von den Erwartungen ab, die du an die Pflanze hast. Es lohnt sich jedoch, sich über den Anbau einer bestimmten Art zu informieren. Es kann passieren, dass du nicht die richtigen Bedingungen für die Entwicklung einer bestimmten Sorte bieten kannst.
Wie sammelt man Orchideensamen?
Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten, Orchideensamen zu erhalten: Du kannst sie kaufen oder von deiner eigenen Pflanze extrahieren. Die erste Methode ist sehr einfach und relativ kostengünstig. In Gartengeschäften oder bei Online-Auktionen kannst du Dutzende von Samen für ein paar oder mehr Zloty erwerben.
Die zweite Methode ist etwas effektiver, da du beim Anbau derselben Pflanzenart deren Bedürfnisse und Anforderungen kennst. Du weißt auch, dass du den Anbau bewältigen kannst, was die Chancen auf zufriedenstellende Ergebnisse erhöht. Allerdings kann der Prozess der Samengewinnung einige Probleme mit sich bringen.
Um das Material für die Selbstsaat vorzubereiten, benötigst du zwei blühende Pflanzen. In den Staubblättern dieser Pflanzen befindet sich der Pollen. Du musst ihn von einer Pflanze mit einem kleinen Pinsel oder einem Wattestäbchen sammeln und auf die andere Pflanze übertragen. Du wirst wahrscheinlich feststellen, dass die Blume, von der der Pollen entnommen wurde, etwas welk wird. Das ist völlig normal.
Nach mehreren Wochen der Bestäubung bildet sich eine Kapsel mit Orchideensamen. Wie sammelt man die Orchideensamen von der Pflanze? Mehrere Monate später solltest du die Kapsel öffnen, die mit Embryonen gefüllt sein wird. Du solltest dies jedoch nur tun, wenn du bereit bist, die Pflanze zu pflanzen. Andernfalls sterben die Samen im abgeschnittenen Pflanzenteil.
Orchideensamen – wie pflanzt man sie ein?
Es gibt mehrere Antworten auf die Frage, wie man Orchideensamen pflanzt. Die am häufigsten verwendeten Methoden sind:
- Aussaat von Samen um die Mutterpflanze herum: Dies ist die einfachste Methode, bei der die Samen in den Topf der Pflanze gesät werden, von der die Embryonen stammen. Diese Methode zeichnet sich nicht durch eine hohe Effektivität aus. Unter solchen Bedingungen ist es schwer, eine reichliche Keimung zu erreichen.
- Symbiotische Aussaat: Diese Methode beinhaltet das Platzieren der gesammelten Samen in einem Substrat, das symbiotische Pilze enthält. Dieser Prozess ist viel effektiver als der vorherige, aber auch viel schwieriger. Es erfordert die Gewinnung einer isolierten Kultur von Pilzen, die die Keimung ermöglicht.
- Asymbiotische Aussaat: Dabei werden die Samen in ein nährstoffreiches Agarmedium gelegt. Diese Methode ist nicht besonders kompliziert und sehr effektiv.
Wie züchtet man Orchideen aus Samen?
Die Aufzucht von Orchideen aus Samen wird kein einfacher Prozess sein. Du musst bedenken, dass du manchmal auch mit Hingabe möglicherweise die Pflanze nicht züchten kannst. Du musst auch Geduld haben. Die Ergebnisse werden sicherlich nicht nach ein paar Tagen sichtbar sein.
Es ist wichtig, die Sterilität des Gefäßes sicherzustellen, in dem die Samen platziert werden. Am besten ist es, wenn es aus Glas oder Kunststoff ist und einen Deckel hat. Du solltest jedoch darauf achten, dass eine angemessene Drainage vorhanden ist, um das Verrotten der Sämlinge zu verhindern. Am Boden des Topfes legst du einige Steine, damit überschüssiges Wasser ablaufen kann. Du solltest die jungen Pflanzen einmal alle paar Tage gießen. Es kann jedoch vorkommen, dass trotz eines korrekt durchgeführten Aussaatprozesses die Sämlinge nicht überleben und dann welken. Du solltest dich jedoch nicht entmutigen lassen.
